GLS Online Connection and Usage in eTrack

Master the GLS Online integration in eTrack. Configure multi-country shipping (RO, HU, CZ), set up the Collect Points widget, and automate your GLS label generation process.

1. Verifying Access to the GLS Service

Before connecting the service, verify your credentials by logging into the GLS website.

Confirm that your Client ID is correct. If unavailable, contact your GLS account representative.

Ensure that API access is activated by requesting confirmation from the GLS support team.

2. Configuring the GLS Service in eTrack

Navigate to:eTrack > Profile > Connected Services > Connect a new service > Shipping labels > Connect a courier > GLS Online

Credentials

Complete the following fields with the information provided by GLS:

  • Client ID – provided by GLS
  • Username – provided by GLS
  • Password – provided by GLS

Additional Important Settings

  • Country – select the shipping origin country (RO, HU, CZ, SK, SI, HR)
  • Printer template – select the AWB format
  • GAP ID – optional Customer ID provided by GLS
  • Service name – recommended to match the service name in Shopify for automatic courier selection
  • Enable service – set to ON

Click Save to complete the configuration.

Status

  • ON – service active; GLS AWBs can be generated
  • OFF – service inactive; will not appear in the courier list

3. Generating GLS AWBs

Select the service type and any additional options according to your contract with GLS.

Follow the standard steps for individual or BULK AWB generation.

4. Collect Points (Locker Pickup)

GLS allows customers to collect orders from GLS lockers.

To activate this feature:

Navigate to the Collect Points tab in eTrack and complete:

  • Logo Image – URL of the image displayed in the widget
  • Language – widget language
  • Collect points – set to ON

The widget will allow customers to select a GLS pickup point during AWB generation.
